The fifth session of China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair was held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall from 20 to 22 April 2017. The exhibition gathered high-tech companies and organizations from all around the world. The objective of the event was to provide a platform for advacing international co-operation of trade, resource allocation and innovation to ensure sustainable development in the field of high technology. This year 927 exhibitors participated the exhibition, of which 193 were international enterprises from overseas and 423 from other Chinese cities and provinces outside Shanghai. The share of foreign exhibitors increased by over 20% from 2016. International exhibitors were from Finland, Australia, and 24 other countries and regions, and the exhibited innovations varied from high-end Nordic clean technology to a Hungarian smart football, among others.
The Finnish delegation at the event was lead by public and private institutions, such as the Espoo City, the Finnish consulate in China, VTT, Tekes, Aalto University, Visedo and Finpro. AAVI Technologies was one of the most important corporate brands in the Finnish pavillion, and AAVI’s patented air purification technology received wide attention during the exhibition.
Brought by AAVI to the exhibition, the visitors were introduced to all of AAVI’s products; the IONJET series for businesses and public spaces, the family-use LEAF series, and the upcoming A600 device. AAVI’s representative informed the visitors that, all products made by AAVI Technologies apply an exclusive patented technology IonJet, which does not use filters or cause secondary pollution. “The company was established in 1983, yet it wasn’t until 2012 that it changed its name to AAVI Technologies Ltd. along with the internationalization of the company”, AAVI’s Chairman of the board Mr. Feizhi Yang told the visitors. “In August 2013, AAVI’s Chinese headquarters were established, and it became a member of China’s national ‘Beautiful Beijing” project supported by the Finnish and Chinese governments.” Mr. Yang also broke about the visits that China’s Chairman of the Standing Committee and Vice Premier have made to AAVI. In June 2015, the Vice Premier of People’s Republic of China Liu Yandong visited AAVI’s premises, and in last September the Chairman of the country’s Standing Committee came to Finland paying a visit AAVI’s production line alongside his entourage.
